Recently got an email and when I first read it, there’s no doubt for me to share to all of you guys.

Such a great and wonderful story, sadly we often forget it.

-The Boy and The Apple Tree-

a long time ago, there was a huge tree. It loved a little boy very much. The boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop. Ate the apples. Take a nap under the shadow. He loved the tree and the tree was so happy.

Time went by..

One day, the boy came back to the tree.

The tree :  “come and play with me”.

The boy : “I am no longer a kid, I don’t play around tree anymore. I want toys, I need money to buy them.”

The tree : “Sorry, but I don’t have money. But you can pick all of my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”

The boy was so exited. He grabbed all of the apples on the tree and left happily. The tree was happy. But the boy never came back after picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who turn into a man returned and the tree was excited,

The tree : “Come and play with me.”

The man : “I don’t have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”

The tree : “Sorry, but I don’t have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.”

So the man cut off the branches and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted,

The tree : “Come and play with me.”

The man : “I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give a boat?”

The tree : “Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time. The tree was happy but it wasn’t the true.

Finally the man returned after many years.

The tree : “Sorry my boy, but I don’t have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you.”

The man : “No problem, I don’t have any teeth to bite.”

The tree : “No more trunk for you to climb on.”

The man : “I am too old for that now.”

The tree : “I really can’t give you anything..the only thing left is my dying roots.”

The tree said it with tears.

The man : “I don’t need much now, just a place to rest. I’m tired after all these years.”

The tree : “Good! old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest. Come, come sit down with me and rest.”

The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears..

Everybody has an apple tree in his life and they are your parents!!

No matter how busy you are, share some time with parents.

 

Past is Experience. Present is Experiments. Future is Expectations.

Use your experience in your experiments to achieve your expectations.

 

beberapa waktu yang lalu saya berkunjung ke satu situs yang katanya bisa menjelaskan bagaimana kepribadian kita, iseng-iseng pengen tau dan memang (lagi) gada kerjaan..hehe

and here are my results :

Some of the results are true, hehe.. saya memang jarang sekali mau berjudi dalam kehidupan, entah karena terbiasa hidup mengikuti aturan umum atau memang hanya ingin bermain aman biar terhindar dari masalah. Pernah dulu waktu SMA pengen nyoba ikutan bolos, tapi dasar emang ga dikasi restu sama yang di-Atas, pas hari-H malah pulang cepet soalnya guru-guru pada rapat, haha..

Kalo menurut saya pribadi, yang bisa menilai secara keseluruhan justru orang-orang di sekitar, yang sehari-hari melihat dan menilai. Kadang kita menolak kalo ada seseorang yang tiba-tiba berani bicara langsung ke kita tentang sikap kita (biasanya kalo pendapatnya bersifat negatif sih), tapi setelah beberapa kali ikut psikotes entah kenapa saya merasa kalo penilaian orang lain itu penting, penilaian yang bisa membuat kita memperbaiki diri sedikit demi sedikit. Gak bikin jati diri kita ilang kok, cuman meminimalisir yang negatif (malah kalo bisa menghilangkan), misalnya membuat si A yang kurang berani jadi lebih percaya diri.  Walaupun ada orang yang bilang “peduli amat sama omongan orang!”, saya yakin omongan-omongan orang pasti dia pikirin juga meski enggan mengakui. Jadi untuk bisa jujur sama orang lain, akan lebih mudah kalo kita mulai dengan jujur sama diri sendiri dulu, susah terkadang tapi worth to try kok, percaya deh.

Dan jangan kira karena saya ngomong kayak gitu di atas berarti saya sudah mahir, saya juga masih level beginner, masih terus berusaha :’)

Untuk keluarga, sahabat, dan kesayangan saya, menurut kalian gimana, sudah sesuai belum penilaian diatas tentang saya? :’P
